What is Bunco?
Bunco is a social dice game played in rounds, typically with 12 players split into teams of two at three tables. Players roll three dice trying to match the target number for that round. It's easy to learn, fast-paced, and all about the fun — no strategy required. That's why bunco clubs have become so popular for women's game nights across the US.
How do you play Bunco?
In each of the six rounds, players roll three dice trying to match the round number. You score a point for each matching die, and if you roll three of the target number, that's a Bunco! The team with the most points after each round wins that round. Play rotates tables until all six rounds are complete. Winners, losers, and Bunco rollers all typically win prizes.
How many people do you need for a Bunco club?
A standard Bunco game needs 12 players — four tables of three players each (two teams per table). Most clubs have a roster of 12–16 members to account for occasional absences, plus a sub list of people who can fill in. It's the perfect size for a monthly girls' night.
